KPMG Luxembourg Foundation
Making a difference
How will the money be allocated ?
Projects will be reviewed on a regular basis however a full project
review will be carried out during the last quarter of each calendar
year, new projects being selected during this period.
The Board of Directors has identified four main focus areas
for the first three years of the Foundation:
- Projects helping to work towards the
millennium development goals (MDG), and more particularly
the first MDG: "to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger".
- Projects helping children, whether socially disadvantaged and under privileged, or suffering from particular health problems
- Projects in principally Africa or Asia, either through direct funding or through a specialized not-for-profit organization, related to the above objectives
- Projects in Luxembourg and the "Grande Region", related to the above objectives, and/or fostering the skills and potential of young people and strengthening community cohesion
Each project will have to meet the above criteria in order to be
considered for selection. These criteria will be reviewed on a regular
basis and may be modified if the Board considers that modifications
are appropriate in order to realign our criteria with the overall
mission of the Foundation and to changing circumstances.
The Foundation only funds registered charities. The Foundation
does not fund individuals.
Should an organization wish to submit a project for consideration
for support, the application file should include some key information:
- A description of the nature of activities and objectives of
the organization requesting the financial support.
- A copy of the statutes of the organization as well as the latest
financial accounts, including a list of expenses
- A description of the specific project requiring the Foundation's
support preferably under the format of a logical framework
- A detailed budget and costs analysis of the project
